hypsh launches a personal AI stylist for complete, shoppable looks

Most people don't want to search for clothes — they want to know what to wear. The Berlin company brings its AI styling technology to fashion retailers, and from today runs it free and in public at hypsh.com.

People aren't searching for clothes. They're searching for a look.

Berlin, 26 August 2026 — What do you wear to a party without looking overdressed? What do you wear on your first day at a new job? And what actually goes with the green trousers you already own?

Until now, answering those questions meant having a good eye for fashion yourself, asking someone who does, or clicking through hundreds of products. The Berlin fashion-tech company hypsh makes it simple.

hypsh.com is open to the public. The platform is a personal AI stylist: shoppers tell it what occasion they're dressing for, how they want to come across, or what style they like, and hypsh assembles a complete outfit from real, purchasable products and visualizes it on a body.

"Most people don't know exactly what they want to wear — an A-line dress, or a pair of culottes," says hypsh co-founder Benjamin Dageroth. "They just know they want to be well dressed for a specific occasion. That's exactly where we start."

That feeling, or the occasion itself, is usually clear. What's often missing is the right words — or the time to dig through the catalogue. Most people know fairly well what situation they're dressing for, just not how to find it quickly and with confidence.

Search queries, meanwhile, are usually just one or two words — followed by a lot of scrolling. It's an inefficient way to shop.

But describe what's actually in your head, and the picture gets much sharper: elegant, but not stiff; eye-catching, but not overdressed; something that goes with a pair of shoes you already own; right for a summer wedding. Until now, that only worked with a human stylist.

Conventional product search gives up here — it's built around categories, filters and individual attributes. hypsh's AI stylist combines the strengths of both classic search and a human advisor: it knows the full assortment and knows how to put it together with a sure hand.

Getting started with hypsh is easy: come in through occasions, moods, styles and trends, browse existing looks, or just describe in chat what you need.

From there, the AI finds matching products and assembles them into a complete look. Individual pieces can be swapped, colours or style adjusted, and the outfit refined from there.

An AI stylist that knows its customers

Shoppers who want their looks more personalized can set up a Style Pass: it tunes recommendations to their own body shape, size, favourite colours and more.

Style Pass also powers virtual try-on for complete looks: rather than laying a single garment over a photo, hypsh visualizes how the whole outfit works, on a model or on the person themselves.

Style Pass requires registration; the rest of the platform can be used without an account.

At hypsh, fashion speaks every language

hypsh's interface is currently available in German, English and French. The styling engine behind it isn't limited to those languages, though: ask in Spanish, Russian or Chinese, and you'll get an outfit recommended too. For hypsh, opening a new market means translating a surface, not rebuilding a search index.

That's because language, for hypsh, is never just a matter of translated product labels: phrases like "elegant, but not stiff" describe an effect — not a product category.

That focus on meaning also shapes the company's own story. Both founders originally studied philosophy. Stephan Pfob is also a communication expert and the author of several books on communication, most recently Starke Gespräche (Munich, 2025). Benjamin Dageroth spent ten years at a fashion-tech company, most recently as a product manager, and also advises companies on implementing AI. What connects them both is a shared drive to make finding the right outfit easy.

    Also for fashion retailers

hypsh.com speaks directly to consumers; the same styling and discovery engine is also available to fashion retailers for their own shops and stores, working from their own assortment rather than a generic catalogue. hypsh.com doubles as a public, live demonstration of the technology in production.
